SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve? Creating individual 3D props for a game world often produces meshes with baked-in scene context, wrong polycounts, or assets left unimported. This Skill standardizes the prompt shape, polycount targeting, and import wiring so a single static prop lands cleanly in the scene on the first attempt. ## Core Features & Use Cases - Prompt Engineering for Isolated Meshes: Enforces the isolated object and white background prompt clauses so generated props contain no baked-in tables, floors, or scene geometry. - Polycount Targeting: Maps use cases (hero prop, background prop, cinematic showcase) to explicit target_polycount values passed to summer_generate_3d, preventing 30k-tri background barrels. - Import and Scene Wiring: Imports the generated GLB via summer_import_asset_by_id into res://assets/models/ and places it under a named parent node with an explicit scenePath, then saves the scene. - Use Case: Ask for a viking axe; the Skill searches existing assets first, generates a ~5k-tri mesh via the Hunyuan model, imports it as viking_axe.glb, and places it at ./World/Props/VikingAxe in main.tscn. ## Quick Start Ask the agent to generate a wooden treasure chest prop and place it in the current scene.

FAQPage Schema
How do I generate a 3D prop for my game with AI?▼

Describe the object with material and silhouette details plus the clauses 'isolated object' and 'white background', then call summer_generate_3d with a target_polycount. Import the result with summer_import_asset_by_id into res://assets/models/ and place it in your scene.

Which AI 3D model should I use for prop generation?▼

Use hunyuan (Hunyuan 3D v3.1 Pro) for best quality, or trellis (Trellis 2) when speed matters since it is roughly twice as fast. The meshy model is a legacy fallback and should only be chosen if explicitly requested.

What polycount should a game prop have?▼

Hero props target 3k-8k triangles, background props 200-800, mid-range interactive props 1k-3k, and cinematic showcase pieces 10k-30k. Always pass target_polycount explicitly, since the provider default of 10k-30k is overkill for most props.

Why does my generated 3D prop include a table or floor?▼

The prompt lacked the 'isolated object' and 'white background' clauses, so the generator baked scene context into the mesh. Regenerate with those clauses appended to get a clean standalone object.

When should I not use AI generation for a 3D prop?▼

Skip generation for characters (use character-model), style-locked sets like walls and floors (use environment-kit), organic objects like trees (use organic-model), and vehicles (use vehicle-model). For placeholders, use a primitive BoxMesh or CylinderMesh instead since generation is metered.

Why does my prop import fail when setting a parent node?▼

The import fails because scenePath was omitted while parent was set. summer_import_asset_by_id requires the exact scenePath whenever a parent node is specified, and the target scene does not need to be the active editor tab.
