SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve? Testing, demoing, or stress-testing a UX research analysis pipeline requires realistic interview data, but using real participant transcripts raises privacy and consent issues. Loki manufactures believable fake interview transcripts so pipelines can be exercised end-to-end without touching a real participant's words. ## Core Features & Use Cases - Synthetic Study Generation: Creates a complete study folder (study plan, one transcript per participant, and an answer key) in a sandboxed Google Drive based on a four-question intake covering participants, personas, duration, and project name. - Realistic Transcript Format: Emits transcripts in the shape real transcription tools produce, with forward-moving timestamps, plausible speech patterns (hedges, tangents, crosstalk), and length matched to the stated interview duration. - Planted Signal with Answer Key: Deliberately embeds recurring themes, a persona disagreement, an outlier, and quotable lines, then records all of it in an answer key so downstream analysis can be graded. - Use Case: A research ops team wants to verify their analysis pipeline correctly surfaces themes before a real study runs. They ask Loki for a 6-participant, 2-persona study of 30-minute interviews, then run the synthetic transcripts through the pipeline and check results against the answer key. ## Quick Start Ask Loki to generate a synthetic interview study for your product concept, specifying the number of participants, personas, interview length, and a project name.

FAQPage Schema
How do I generate fake user interview transcripts for testing?▼

Provide a product concept plus four intake answers: participant count (2-10), persona count (1-4), interview length (15-60 minutes), and a project name. Loki creates a Drive folder with a study plan, one transcript per participant, and an answer key.

What makes synthetic interview transcripts look realistic?▼

Realistic transcripts use forward-moving timestamps paced at roughly 150 spoken words per minute, natural speech with hedges and tangents, distinct persona vocabularies, and lengths matching the stated duration. A transcript far shorter than its stated length is the most common tell.

Can synthetic research data be written into a real research dataset?▼

No. Loki has no database access by design and writes only inside its own sandboxed shared Drive. Ingestion into a real dataset is a deliberate downstream decision made by someone else, never by the generator.

What is a data fence for a synthetic data generator?▼

A data fence is configuration, not prompt text: a dedicated sandbox shared drive plus a service account that belongs to nothing else. The fenced Drive server rooted at that drive guarantees generated transcripts cannot land in a client folder.

Why does every generated document need a synthetic banner?▼

A folder name does not travel with a document that gets dragged elsewhere. The banner stating the content is synthetic and not real research prevents a fake transcript from being analyzed as genuine client data weeks later.
