What problem does it solve?

Researchers and teams often struggle to produce consistently formatted, frontmatter-driven research documents. This Skill standardizes structure, sections, and file references to reduce manual formatting and ensure reproducibility.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Frontmatter-driven templates: Includes fields like date, researcher, git info, topic, tags, status, and feature_slug; supports optional shared_as and shared_date for collaboration.
  • Structured sections: Automatically organizes Research Question, Summary, Detailed Findings, Key Discoveries, Implementation Patterns, and References.
  • File references & compatibility: Enforces file:line references and maintains backward-compatible paths for legacy documents.
  • Collaboration-friendly workflow: Works with personal namespaces and the share-docs flow to promote documents to the shared space.

Quick Start

Provide the research question and confirm the target namespace to create a new research document at thoughts/{namespace}/NNNN-description/research.md.
