• Project alignment: References project aims in .research/project_telos.md to ensure the background supports study goals.
• Update existing drafts: If manuscript/background.md exists, updates content while preserving user edits.

Quick Start

Use the /write_background command after completing literature review to generate or update manuscript/background.md from the literature pool. Ensure .research/literature/ contains summaries and .bib contains citations, and that .research/project_telos.md defines the project aims.
