• Structured frontmatter edits: Apply explicit field=value updates for description, status, tags, invocation, and version.
• Validation and guardrails: Enforces allowed status transitions, validates frontmatter against the workflow schema, and redirects deprecation flows to the dedicated deprecate action.
• Audit-friendly updates: Automatically updates updated_at, summarizes changed fields, and avoids modifying body sections (Steps, Invariants, Evidence).
• Use case: Update a draft workflow's description and tags before promoting it to active while preserving the authored Steps and Invariants.

Quick Start

Invoke /workflow-edit my-workflow status=active description=Updated description to apply the specified frontmatter changes to workflows/user/my-workflow.md.
