What problem does it solve?

This Skill centralizes Obsidian vault configuration and permissions management, ensuring consistent vault references and secure access across personal and company vaults.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • View the active vault, personal vault, and company vault paths from settings.
  • Switch between personal and company vaults by updating environment references and applicable config files.
  • Validate new vault paths, create default vault-config.yaml if missing, and propagate changes to related tools.
  • Update thought-organizer config when the working directory contains a vault config.
  • Configure Vault permissions in safe (read-only) or full (read/write) modes for secure or permissive operations.

Quick Start

Activate the vault skill to view current vault configurations, then run /vault personal to switch to your personal vault or /vault path ~/ObsidianVault to set a new path. After choosing a mode, run /vault permissions safe to apply read-only access.
