SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill requires ccusage, agents-observe.

What problem does it solve? Claude Code users have no built-in way to see how many tokens they consume per project, model, or session, making it hard to track spend, enforce model-selection policies, or avoid hitting five-hour billing block limits during long loops. ## Core Features & Use Cases - Usage reporting via ccusage: Runs pinned ccusage commands (daily, weekly, monthly, session, blocks) against local ~/.claude/projects/**/*.jsonl transcripts and summarizes totals, top projects, and per-model spend. - Agents mode: Queries the agents-observe plugin REST API for per-subagent token attribution, delegation chains, and model-policy compliance within a specific session. - Loop circuit breaker: Checks the active five-hour billing block, projects burn rate, and emits a PASS/STOP verdict for /loop safeguards. - Use Case: Before starting a long automated loop, run the blocks mode to confirm the current five-hour block has enough headroom, then review weekly per-model spend to catch Opus usage on read-only exploration tasks. ## Quick Start Ask the assistant to run /usage-report to show this week's token usage and cost breakdown by project and model.

FAQPage Schema
How do I check Claude Code token usage and cost?▼

Run /usage-report with a mode such as daily, weekly, monthly, or session. It invokes ccusage against local transcript JSONL files and summarizes total tokens, estimated cost, top projects, and per-model breakdowns.

How to see per-subagent token usage in a Claude Code session?▼

Use /usage-report agents with an optional session UUID. It queries the agents-observe plugin REST API on port 4981 for transcript stats, returning per-subagent tokens, models, cost, and the delegation chain.

Does ccusage cost reporting reflect my actual Claude bill?▼

No. ccusage costs are estimates against API list pricing. On a Max subscription they serve as a relative spend signal, not an actual bill, and the skill states this caveat in every report.

Why does the agents mode health check fail on port 4981?▼

The agents-observe container may be stopped or assigned a fallback port. Start it with docker start agents-observe, or read the actual port from ~/.claude/plugins/data/agents-observe-agents-observe/server-port and retry.

What are the limitations of agents mode transcript stats?▼

Transcript stats require the session JSONL to still exist on disk and only cover sessions run while the agents-observe plugin was active. Deleted transcripts return file_not_found, and older sessions have no subagent records.
