transbigdata-metroline
CommunityBuild metro networks and analyze transit routes
System Documentation
What problem does it solve?
Urban planners and transit analysts often need to turn line and stop geodata into a usable network for routing and operational analysis; this Skill streamlines building transit network topology, computing shortest and k-shortest paths, estimating travel times with transfer penalties, and extracting arrival/one-way times from bus GPS traces to avoid manual, error-prone processing.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Construct a routable metro/bus network graph from line and stop GeoDataFrame inputs using metro_network and related utilities.
- Query shortest paths and k-shortest paths, compute path travel times with configurable transfer time, and split lines into segments for topology refinement.
- Process bus GPS traces to identify stop arrivals and compute one-way travel times for vehicle performance analysis and timetable validation.
- Use Case: Build a city's metro graph, find alternative routes between two stations with expected travel times, and analyze bus on-time performance from GPS logs.
Quick Start
Use the transbigdata-metroline skill to construct a metro network from line and stop geodata and compute the shortest path and estimated travel time between two stations.
