What problem does it solve?

UDP entrypoints in Traefik v3 sometimes fail to route across namespaces when IngressRouteUDP references services in a different namespace. This skill ensures UDP ports are exposed on the LoadBalancer service and cross-namespace CRD references are allowed so cross-namespace routing works reliably.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Exposes custom UDP entrypoints on the Traefik LoadBalancer service so that UDP traffic can reach Traefik.
  • Enables cross-namespace IngressRouteUDP and IngressRoute references to services in other namespaces.
  • Use case: you need DNS or other UDP services behind Traefik to be reachable from clients when the service and the Traefik instance reside in different namespaces.

Quick Start

Configure Traefik to expose the UDP port and enable cross-namespace CRD references to allow IngressRouteUDP to route across namespaces.
