What problem does it solve?

This skill helps engineers verify FTP and LaunchAPPL connectivity to Classic Mac machines, and guides smart setup when LaunchAPPL isn’t running.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Connectivity tests: validates FTP (port 21) connectivity, authentication, and directory listing, and checks LaunchAPPL (port 1984) availability.
  • Smart setup assistance: if LaunchAPPL is not running, offers to create standard folders, build LaunchAPPLServer, deploy binaries, and provide extraction/instructions.
  • Next steps and deployment readiness: returns deployment commands and troubleshooting paths based on test results to move toward full PeerTalk deployment.

Quick Start

Run /test-machine <machine-id> to begin connectivity checks and auto-setup if needed.
