System Documentation
What problem does it solve?
Tabby users need to configure, manage, and share SSH, serial, and Telnet connections across workspaces. This skill provides a structured approach to saving connection profiles, handling authentication, and organizing devices into groups for quick access.
Core Features & Use Cases
- SSH Profile Configuration: Save host, port, user, authentication, and optional group for quick access.
- Serial & Telnet Connections: Manage serial ports and Telnet sessions with standard settings and session history.
- Jump Hosts & Port Forwarding: Configure ProxyJump-like paths and forward ports to reach internal networks from Tabby.
- Connection Management: Grouping, searching, and editing connections, plus auto-reconnect and agent forwarding where supported.
Quick Start
Open Tabby > Connections. Create an SSH connection with host, port, and user; choose an authentication method (password, publicKey, or agent) and save as "Production Server". Add a Jump Host connection or configure Jump Host on the SSH entry. Add a Port Forwarding rule if needed. Create a Serial connection for a device port and adjust baud rate and other options as required.
