What problem does it solve?

This skill automates converting composite Anki notes into atomic notes, preserving Nid references and the inheritance rules defined for main and sub cards, enabling deterministic, well-structured study materials.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Hard Split: split by two or more #### headers to create independent cards.
  • Soft Split: leverage cloze density (more than three clozes) and optional Gemini-based analysis for high-density notes.
  • nid inheritance & Cloze handling: main card retains its nid; subcards receive new nids with backlinks to the original card; all cloze numbers reset to c1 to enforce 1 note = 1 atomic card.
  • Use Case: Convert a long, multi-section note into a set of atomic cards with preserved links to the source.
  • Note: Split results can be previewed before applying to avoid unintended changes.

Quick Start

  • Provide a sample note containing at least two "####" headers to trigger a hard split, or a note with more than three clozes to trigger soft split.
  • Review the generated atomic cards and, if satisfied, apply the split.
