What problem does it solve?

This skill accelerates soil burn severity assessment after a fire by applying dNBR thresholds to classify impact, compute acreage by severity, and surface BAER recommendations.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • dNBR-based severity classification: assigns UNBURNED, LOW, MODERATE, or HIGH to each sector.
  • Acreage breakdown & priorities: aggregates burned acres by severity and identifies priority sectors for BAER work.
  • Erosion risk & watershed awareness: evaluates erosion risk using slope data and supports watershed- and infrastructure-protection decisions.
  • Use Case: quickly generates Cedar Creek–style severity reports with a reasoning chain and data sources.

Quick Start

To run the skill, provide a fire_id (e.g., "cedar-creek-2022") and optional sectors. The script loads fixture data by default and returns a full assessment including breakdowns, priority sectors, reasoning, and recommendations.
