What problem does it solve?

Adds a global skill from ~/.claude/skills/ to the current project's CLAUDE.md Skills Registry.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Validates the provided skill name and resolves exact or partial matches.
  • Verifies that the global skill exists at ~/.claude/skills/<name>/SKILL.md.
  • Checks for a project CLAUDE.md and ensures a "Skills Registry" section is present, creating one if needed.
  • Adds the skill entry to the project registry by copying to .claude/skills/<name>/SKILL.md (default) or by referencing the global path (Option A), with clear provenance.
  • Prevents duplicates by scanning existing registry entries for both local and global references.

Quick Start

Run /skill-add <name> to copy a global skill into the project registry (or reference it if you choose Option A).
