System Documentation

What problem does it solve?

Singapore SMEs need a consistent, auditable general ledger structure that maps cleanly to SFRS reporting and GST filing; inconsistent numbering, missing GST control accounts, or flat hierarchies cause reconciliation errors and audit failures. This Skill provides guidance to design account masters, numbering rules, and validation checks so modules produce reliable financial statements and simplify month-end close.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Enforced numbering ranges mapped to statement classes (1xxx assets, 2xxx liabilities, 3xxx equity, 4xxx revenue, 5xxx expenses).
  • Required system accounts for GST and equity rollups (examples: 1030 GST Receivable, 2020 GST Payable, 3010 Retained Earnings, 3020 Current Year Profit/Loss).
  • Validation patterns including uniqueness constraints, number-range/type consistency, no circular parent references, and parent_number hierarchies for roll-ups.
  • Use cases: module schema design, migration verifiers, GL import validation, and automated audit-prep checks in vobase projects.

Quick Start

Create a Singapore SME chart of accounts using the 4-digit numbering convention, include system accounts 1030, 2020, 3010, and 3020, enforce parent_number hierarchies, and validate uniqueness, type ranges, and absence of parent cycles.
