SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve? Writing content that outranks competitors requires hours of manual SERP research, keyword planning, and outline structuring. This Skill automates that research into a structured, writer-ready content brief. ## Core Features & Use Cases - Competitor Gap Analysis: Scores the top 5 ranking pages on depth, formatting, SEO, and UX, then identifies topic, depth, and quality gaps with priority scoring. - Page-Type Templates: Provides tailored outline structures for service pages, blog posts, case studies, category pages, landing pages, FAQ pages, location pages, and homepages. - Keyword and Meta Guidance: Enforces keyword density ranges (0.5%-2.0%), required placement locations, and strict title tag (50-60 chars) and meta description (130-150 chars) rules. - Use Case: A content marketer needs a brief for a new "commercial cleaning services" page. The Skill fetches the site context, analyzes ranking competitors, and outputs a full brief with an H2/H3 outline, per-section word counts, meta tags, and internal linking suggestions. ## Quick Start Ask the AI to create a content brief for the keyword "emergency plumber sydney" as a service page for your website.

FAQPage Schema
How do I create an SEO content brief for a new page?▼

Provide a target keyword or topic and optionally a page type. The Skill analyzes the top 5 ranking competitors, classifies search intent, and outputs a structured brief with an H2/H3 outline, word counts, meta tags, and internal linking suggestions.

How do I write a brief to improve an existing page?▼

Provide the URL of the existing page to trigger improve mode. The Skill fetches the page, identifies strong sections to keep and thin or missing sections to add, then recommends targeted improvements rather than a full rewrite.

What keyword density should SEO content have?▼

The primary keyword should appear at 0.5% to 2.0% of total word count. Above 2% requires review and above 3% risks keyword stuffing penalties. The keyword must appear in the title tag, H1, URL slug, meta description, first 100 words, and one image alt text.

Does the content brief generator work with Ahrefs or DataForSEO?▼

Yes, both integrations are optional. If Ahrefs or DataForSEO MCP tools are available, the Skill uses them for keyword volume, difficulty scores, SERP analysis, and competitor content extraction; otherwise it works without them.

What happens if no real competitors are found in the SERP?▼

The Skill filters out non-competitors like Wikipedia, Reddit, Amazon, and news sites using an exclusion list. If fewer than 3 real competitors remain, it broadens the search to partial-match competitors and notes the thin competitive landscape in the brief.
