What problem does it solve?

This skill automates updating the product roadmap by sequencing PRDs by timeline and status, organizing Now/Next/Later, maintaining the roadmap.md structure, and generating changelog snapshots.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Sequence PRDs by timeline and status (Actionable, Drafting, Closed, Abandoned) to produce a coherent roadmap.
  • Maintain clear Now/Next/Later sections and create timestamped changelog snapshots before updates.
  • Load PRDs from datasets/product/backlog.md and datasets/product/prds/{YYYY}/PRD_*.md to produce an ordered, versioned plan.

Quick Start

Activate after new PRDs exist. Run roadmap-updating to load PRDs and refresh roadmap.md, then review the updated roadmap. Use the activation command to trigger the update, e.g., /project:update-roadmap.
