This skill streamlines production releases by coordinating repository state, changelog creation, and safe merges to production.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Pre-flight validation: checks that the working tree is clean, master and published are up to date, and the repository is ready for release.
  • Changelog generation: creates a structured changelog entry summarizing commits and merged PRs.
  • Master-to-published merge & tagging prep: performs the merge and pushes to the published branch, with options to tag the release. Use Case: When preparing a production release, invoke /release-production to run checks, generate docs, merge branches, and push to production.
