What problem does it solve?
This skill automates the transformation of scattered literature into structured reading notes, converting PDFs to consistent markdown notes and extracting bibliographic data, core arguments, theoretical frameworks, findings, and key quotes for synthesis.

- PDF to Markdown conversion: Converts PDFs into structured markdown notes with cached outputs for reuse.
- Structured reading notes: Creates consistent frontmatter with identifiers and rich sections for rapid synthesis.
- Batch processing: Spawns haiku agents to process multiple papers in parallel for large literature reviews.
- Project integration: Saves notes under literature/synthesis/reading-notes by default and supports project.yaml mappings and Zotero/OpenAlex identifiers.
Quick Start
Use the reading-agent skill to read a single paper: /reading-agent
