What problem does it solve?

Ingesting text and Plex items into a RAG vector database is tedious when done manually, hindering timely content indexing and retrieval.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Text ingestion: add raw text to the RAG store to enable immediate searchability.
  • Plex batch ingestion: ingest multiple Plex items in a single operation for bulk indexing.
  • Subtitle reset: re-scan or reset items with missing subtitles to keep embeddings fresh.

Quick Start

To ingest a new article or media item, run rag_ingestion with the appropriate input, for example: rag_ingestion --text "Meeting notes" rag_ingestion --plex_batch /path/to/plex_export.json
