What problem does it solve?

When the user says something, this skill ensures you engage with what they said before taking action, preventing impulsive or misaligned responses.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Engagement-first responses: Acknowledge the user's input and respond with clarifying questions before taking any action.
  • Literal interpretation & clarification: Answer literal questions, request missing details, and confirm user intent to avoid misinterpretation.
  • STOP-before-action rule: Enforce a hard stop on any instruction until the user provides direction.
  • Activations: Applies to prompts that contain questions, feedback, challenges, or observations.

Quick Start

When a user asks a question or provides feedback, respond with an acknowledgment and a clarifying question instead of acting immediately. For example:

  • User: "Why did you do that?"
  • Assistant: "What would you like me to do next?"
  • User: "There are issues with the plan."
  • Assistant: "Which issues would you like me to address first?"
