What problem does it solve?

The Polaris Local Forge skill automates the end-to-end provisioning and management of a local Polaris development environment, including RustFS S3-compatible storage, PostgreSQL metastore, and k3d/k3s cluster, so you can experiment with Iceberg locally without manual setup.
