Direct and manage project work by assigning WBS tasks per the RACI matrix, running daily standups, reviewing deliverables, and maintaining an issue log. In parallel, perform quality audits, manage team conflicts, and execute the communications plan with regular status reports.

Quality Assurance audits the process to prevent defects and runs during Executing, while Quality Control inspects completed deliverables to detect defects and belongs to Monitoring and Controlling. QA outputs audit findings and process recommendations; QC outputs defect logs and metrics.

Collaborating is the preferred PMBOK technique because it produces durable win-win solutions. Use Compromising when time is short, Accommodating when the relationship matters more, Forcing only in emergencies, and Avoiding only when the issue resolves itself.

Escalate when an issue remains unresolved after two weeks, when a change request impacts scope or budget by more than 10 percent, when high-power stakeholders conflict, when a critical risk materializes, or when a key team member is at risk of leaving.

Execution requires an approved Project Management Plan containing scope, schedule, and cost baselines, defined roles and responsibilities in a RACI matrix, and a quality plan with defined standards. Executing without an approved plan produces unmanaged work.

Watch for small unplanned work done without change requests, stakeholders contacting the team directly, and schedule extensions without formal changes. Enforce the change control board process with clear thresholds for what requires a formal change request.
