What problem does it solve?

This Skill splits a monolithic plan Markdown file into discrete, per-step notes, enabling granular progress tracking and easier review within Obsidian.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Step file creation: Generate per-step Markdown files named {plan-name}-step-01.md, {plan-name}-step-02.md, etc., in the same directory as the main plan.
  • Progress tracking: Each step file includes a Step status field to monitor readiness and completion.
  • Use Case: After drafting a plan with plan-on-md, you can split it to manage tasks, track updates, and reference individual steps independently.

Quick Start

Split your main plan file into per-step notes in the Obsidian vault. After you create {plan-name}.md, run the plan-steps-split operation to generate {plan-name}-step-01.md, {plan-name}-step-02.md, and more in the same directory.
