What problem does it solve?

This Skill scans a folder for recent screenshots, visually classifies which ones are relevant to current work, and organizes them into a target directory with descriptive filenames to streamline asset curation for PRs, bug reports, or documentation.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Automated discovery: Detects recent screenshots from a source folder (default ~/Desktop) and respects a configurable lookback window.
  • Contextual classification: Visually assesses relevance to the current project and highlights related assets.
  • Descriptive naming: Suggests and applies descriptive, context-first filenames for easy identification.
  • Flexible organization: Copies or moves assets to a target directory, preserving originals unless the user opts-in to move.
  • Preferences persistence: Stores user preferences for default source, lookback days, and naming style.

Quick Start

Run the organize-screenshots command to scan your Desktop for the last 3 days, classify assets, and organize them into the specified target folder.
