What problem does it solve?
This Skill provides efficient, read-only access to a precomputed index of your OpenHAB items and semantic model, with the ability to perform targeted live REST lookups when current state information is explicitly required.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Discover Items: Find items by name, label, group, tags, or semantic properties.
- Navigate Semantic Model: Explore the structure of locations, equipment, and points.
- Retrieve Item Details: Access item types, labels, metadata (like Alexa or semantic tags), and REST URLs.
- Get Current State: Perform live REST calls for the most up-to-date item states when necessary.
- Use Case: Ask "Which lights are in the living room?" or "What is the current temperature from the
LivingRoom_Thermostatitem?".
