What problem does it solve?
Obsidian-system-notes helps you construct a clear knowledge hierarchy inside Obsidian by creating thematic hubs (meta-notes), research questions (problems), and aggregation points (hierarchies). It emphasizes that categories are human-managed and never created automatically.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Meta-note: acts as a thematic hub stored under base/_meta-notes/ with tag system/high/meta and category linkage.
- Problem: decomposed sub-questions under a meta-note, stored under base/_problems/ and linked to a specific meta-note and category.
- Hierarchy: aggregators that group related notes under the same category, attached to category/meta/problem as appropriate, stored under base/_hierarchy/.
- Workflow: dynamic linking guided by discovery of existing notes; prohibits creating new categories; ensures category, meta, and problem relationships follow the defined chain.
- Naming Rules: same as regular notes; lowercase; unique; no dates or pronouns.
