What problem does it solve?

Refresh SCRC activity data caches into .cache/YYYY-MM/ to enable consistent analytics and reporting across the three SCRC repositories.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Automates fetching of activity data for a specified month and stores results under the appropriate cache path.
  • Generates a summary.json and per-repo data files (commits.json, prs.json, issues.json, releases.json) to support downstream reporting and reconciliation.
  • Supports optional date ranges and configurable output directory to fit different workflows.

Quick Start

Run the cache tool for a specific month using uv run python tools/newsletter/fetch_activity.py --month YYYY-MM.
