What problem does it solve?

Add a new type of process step to the VSM builder to enable modeling diverse work items with custom visualization and properties.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Define a new step type constant in code (e.g., in src/data/stepTypes.js)
  • Create a custom React Flow node at src/components/canvas/nodes/{StepTypeName}Node.jsx
  • Register the node type in src/components/canvas/nodeTypes.js
  • Add default values for the step type in src/data/stepDefaults.js
  • Update the step creation UI in src/components/builder/StepSelector.jsx
  • Example: add a "Development" step type with a code icon on the canvas

Quick Start

Create a feature file describing the step type, write failing acceptance tests, and implement the node type following the steps.
