System Documentation

What problem does it solve?

This Skill solves the tedious task of manually creating and organizing dated documentation by providing a CLI tool that auto-generates date-based directories and standardized templates for every entry.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Automatic Chronological Organization: Creates entries under entries/YYYY/MM/DD with consistent templates.
  • Template-Driven Content: Produces structured markdown templates for notes, research, and project documentation.
  • Editor Integration: Optionally opens the new file in the user's editor after creation.
  • Use Case: Quickly capture meeting notes or investigation findings with a dated, reusable format.

Quick Start

  • Basic usage - creates entry with today's date ./new_entry investigation-findings
  • With custom title ./new_entry ftl2-setup "FTL2 Package Setup"
  • Open in editor after creation ./new_entry --edit meeting-notes "Team Meeting Notes"
