What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps teams quickly populate a development environment with realistic, synthetic device records to test inventory workflows without relying on real data.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Generate synthetic device inventories (MAC addresses, IPs, hostnames, vendors) and export to a CSV compatible with the NetAlertX backend.
  • Import generated data via the /devices/import API to seed the database and validate UI flows.
  • Use for development, testing, and QA to reproduce real-world network inventories.

Quick Start

Run the data-loading script inside the devcontainer: cd /workspaces/NetAlertX/.devcontainer/scripts ./load-devices.sh
