What problem does it solve?

This Skill enables compiling MQL5 indicators, scripts, and tools through a command-line interface by mapping the standard Windows path (with spaces) to an X: drive inside CrossOver/Wine, avoiding silent failures caused by spaces in "Program Files".

  • X: drive mapping: Create a stable path alias that eliminates spaces in build commands.
  • CLI compilation: Build .mq5 sources from the terminal with precise logging and include paths.
  • Verification: Confirm the presence of the resulting .ex5 file and inspect compile logs.

Quick Start

  1. Map the X: drive (the provided one-time setup).
  2. Use the CLI template to compile your file, e.g. compile an MQ5 file via the X drive path.
  3. Check for the generated .ex5 in the MQL5 folder and review logs if compilation failed.
