What problem does it solve?

Helps teams set, change, or clear git commit co-authors during pair or mob programming sessions, ensuring that each contribution is correctly attributed.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Load existing co-authors from the co-authors file and present initial mappings for the current mob session.
  • Map names to initials, handle solo mode by reporting the primary author, and automatically add unknown names with inferred emails when confirmed.
  • Set the active mob group with git mob and produce a final report listing all co-authors.
  • Handle edge cases such as missing co-authors file or ambiguous name matches with prompts and safe fallbacks.

Quick Start

Run the mob command with one or more names to assign co-authors for the next mob session.
