LAYER_02_BUSINESS
CommunityArchitect business layer models with ArchiMate.
System Documentation
What problem does it solve?
This Skill helps enterprise architects and teams model the Business Layer using ArchiMate 3.2, enabling clear representation of actors, roles, processes, objects, and services.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Structured modeling of BusinessLayer elements (BusinessActor, BusinessRole, BusinessProcess, BusinessService, etc.) aligned to ArchiMate 3.2.
- Cross-layer mapping to motivation, application, data, and API layers for traceability.
- Governance-ready outputs such as ArchiMate exports and references for BPMN integration.
Quick Start
Start by defining core Business actors and roles, then model a representative BusinessProcess and the associated BusinessService. Example: define "Customer" as BusinessActor, "Sales Representative" as BusinessRole, "Order Fulfillment" as BusinessProcess, and "Order Management Service" as BusinessService, then create relationships: actor assigned-to role, process composes service, process accesses Order object.
