latex-rhythm-refiner
CommunityImprove LaTeX prose rhythm, preserve citations
System Documentation
What problem does it solve?
Academic LaTeX sections often read as blocky, repetitive, or filled with filler phrases that reduce readability and engagement while leaving technical claims and citations intact. This Skill post-processes LaTeX prose to vary sentence and paragraph lengths, remove filler and unnecessary transitions, and tighten wording without altering citations, LaTeX commands, figures, tables, or technical content.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Preserve citations and LaTeX structure: All \cite{...} occurrences and LaTeX commands remain unchanged and attached to their original semantic claims.
- Rhythm-aware editing: Stochastically mixes short, medium, and long sentences and alternates paragraph lengths to avoid monotony.
- Concise-language cleanup: Removes common filler phrases and minimizes redundant transitions while preferring active voice and clearer verbs.
- Use Case: Post-process the Introduction or Related Work of a generated arXiv-style paper to improve readability before final proofreading and compilation.
Quick Start
Ask the agent to refine the Introduction section to vary sentence and paragraph lengths, remove filler phrases, and preserve all citations and LaTeX structure.
