What problem does it solve?

This tool converts Claude Skill’s SKILL.md into a complete set of Amazon Kiro steering files (.kiro/steering/), enabling automated generation of foundational and optional steering docs from a single source of truth.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Automated mapping: Extracts goals, stack, structure, guardrails, and procedures and maps them to product.md, tech.md, structure.md, code-conventions.md, and security-policies.md.
  • Inclusion modes: Applies always, fileMatch, and manual inclusion rules to the generated files.
  • Safety and diffs: Redacts secrets, shows diffs, and prompts before overwriting existing files.
  • Deterministic generation: Produces a consistent .kiro/steering/ set from the source SKILL.md.
  • Extensibility: Supports optional resources via scripts, references, and assets for on-demand tasks.

Quick Start

Paste your SKILL.md content or provide its file path to generate the .kiro/steering/ files.
