What problem does it solve?

This Skill automates the creation or extension of a milestone within an existing project by assembling planning artifacts, resetting context for a new delivery cycle, and optionally integrating with GitHub milestones.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Creates/updates planning artifacts for a new milestone (PROJECT.md, STATE.md, ROADMAP.md) and resets milestone-specific state.
  • Supports both first milestone after project init and subsequent milestones, updating goals, responsibilities, and traceability.
  • Optional GitHub milestone integration when enabled in config, including milestone creation and basic association with roadmap context.

Quick Start

Run the skill with a milestone name to initialize planning scaffolding and context for the new milestone. Example: /kata:kata-add-milestone v1.0 - Initial Release

Notes

After activation, run the roadmap planning flow to map requirements to phases and begin execution.
