What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps you start work on a GitHub Issue by automatically creating a feature branch named after the issue number and checking it out locally.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Branch creation: Create a branch named feature/<number>-<slug> and switch to it.
  • Issue-title integration: Use the Issue title to generate a readable branch slug.
  • Workflow setup: Update your local main and prepare your workspace for new work.

Quick Start

Use the /issue-start 4 command to create and switch to the feature/4-<slug> branch for Issue #4.
