What problem does it solve?

This Skill enforces a standardized, traceable issue naming system for GitHub issues by applying canonical prefixes and IDs, reducing ambiguity and enabling effortless cross-linking from requirements to delivery.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Prefix taxonomy enforcement: Map user intent to the correct prefix (FR, BG, HF, TC, SC, PF, DC, IN) using a central taxonomy.
  • ID generation & validation: Determine the next available ID for a given prefix and ensure uniqueness before creation.
  • Triage and governance: Suggest the best prefix based on work description and maintain consistent title formatting for issue tracking.
  • Use Case: When creating new work items, generate a properly formatted title like [FR-0043] Implement dark mode.

Quick Start

To start, ask the skill to format a new GitHub issue title with the correct prefix and ID, e.g., "Create [BG-0012] Fix login bug" or "Propose next PF-0021".
