What problem does it solve?

This skill provides a structured blueprint for building consistent Amber UI components using the GlowFactory pattern in Gosling2. It ensures design-system coherence, reduces inline styling, and accelerates UI widget creation.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Standardized Component Template: a repeatable pattern to create new Glow widgets (base class, signals, UI setup) that integrate with the Glow design system.
  • Phase-driven Workflow: Design & Planning, Implementation, Styling, Integration, Testing to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Theme-driven Styling: all styling via theme.qss and objectName with no inline styles.
  • Easy Integration: components are exported from glow/init.py and consumed by parent widgets.

Quick Start

Start by defining a new component name (e.g., GlowMyComponent), follow Phase 2 template to implement the Python class, set object names, apply QSS rules in theme.qss, export from the Glow module, and run the UI to verify visuals.
