What problem does it solve?

This Skill provides a simple, deterministic interface to manage GitHub issues and pull requests without navigating the web UI, saving time when tracking, creating, or reviewing work items across repositories.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • List Issues and PRs: Retrieve open or closed issues and pull requests for a given repository with optional limits and state filters.
  • Create Issues and PRs: Programmatically create new issues or pull requests (including draft PRs) with title, body, labels, head, and base branch options.
  • Use Case: Automate backlog triage by listing all open issues in owner/repo, create standardized issue templates for incoming bugs, or open a draft PR from a feature branch via the CLI wrapper.

Quick Start

Use the github-tool to list open issues in owner/repo by calling the action list_issues with the repo set to owner/repo.
