SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill requires requests.

What problem does it solve? Brands optimized only for traditional SEO signals like backlinks and Domain Rating often remain invisible to AI search engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini, which rely on different signals like unlinked brand mentions. This Skill measures a brand's presence on the platforms AI models actually use for entity recognition and citation decisions. ## Core Features & Use Cases - Multi-Platform Scanning: Checks brand presence on YouTube, Reddit, Wikipedia/Wikidata, LinkedIn, and supplementary platforms like Quora, GitHub, and Hacker News using web search and Wikipedia API calls. - Weighted Brand Authority Score: Produces a 0-100 composite score using platform-specific rubrics weighted by correlation with AI citation (YouTube 25%, Reddit 25%, Wikipedia 20%, LinkedIn 15%, Other 15%). - Sentiment and Competitive Analysis: Assesses mention sentiment on discussion platforms and optionally benchmarks against competitors. - Use Case: A marketing team wants to know why competitors get recommended by ChatGPT but their brand does not. Running this Skill reveals the brand has no Reddit or YouTube presence, and generates a prioritized action plan to build authority on those platforms. ## Quick Start Analyze the brand mentions and AI visibility authority for my company at example.com and generate the Brand Authority report.

FAQPage Schema
How do I check if my brand is visible to AI search engines?▼

Scan your brand's presence on YouTube, Reddit, Wikipedia, and LinkedIn, since these platforms correlate most strongly with AI citations. This Skill automates that scan and produces a weighted Brand Authority Score from 0 to 100.

What platforms matter most for AI citation and brand mentions?▼

YouTube mentions show the strongest correlation with AI citation (~0.737), followed by Reddit, then Wikipedia and Wikidata for entity recognition. LinkedIn and platforms like Quora, GitHub, and Hacker News provide supplementary signals.

How is the Brand Authority Score calculated?▼

Each platform is scored 0-100 using defined rubrics, then weighted: YouTube 25%, Reddit 25%, Wikipedia 20%, LinkedIn 15%, and other platforms 15%. The weighted sum produces a composite score with ratings from Minimal to Dominant.

Why does the Wikipedia check use an API instead of web search?▼

Web search alone is unreliable for detecting Wikipedia pages and can produce false negatives. The Skill runs a Python check against the Wikipedia and Wikidata APIs first, then uses direct URL fetches as backup verification.

Do backlinks still matter for AI search visibility?▼

Backlinks and Domain Rating correlate weakly (~0.266) with AI citation compared to unlinked brand mentions on high-engagement platforms. Traditional SEO signals remain useful for organic rankings but are poor predictors of AI recommendations.
