What problem does it solve?

Glasgow Coma Scale scores must be computed from ICU chart data while correctly handling intubation and sedation scenarios.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Compute total GCS from motor, verbal, and eye components with rules for intubation (gcs_verbal = 0 leads to total GCS = 15) and component carry-forward within 6 hours.
  • Produce per-chart and per-stay trajectories suitable for clinical analytics, cohort definitions, and outcome studies across ICUs.
  • Support sedation policy by using pre-sedation GCS where available and flagging uncertain scores for review.

Quick Start

Provide a dataset containing GCS components (motor, verbal, eyes) and charttimes and the skill will compute GCS for each observation.
