What problem does it solve?
This Skill coordinates John Carmack-level plan reviews of Flow epic specs or design docs using RepoPrompt or Codex. It orchestrates the entire review lifecycle via a bundled flowctl shim, ensuring consistent prompts, checkpoints, and artifact generation.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Backend-agnostic reviews: Works with RepoPrompt (rp) or Codex backends to review epic specs and task specs.
- Atomic setup and augmentation: Performs a single, safe setup (setup-review) and augments the selection with epic and task specs for full context.
- Structured review prompts: Builds and sends a comprehensive review prompt, including code-context where available.
- Verdict handling and fixes loop: Applies NEEDS_WORK fixes automatically, syncing epic and task specs and re-reviewing until SHIP.
- Traceability: Supports receipts and status updates to track review progress across backends.
Quick Start
- Trigger a plan review: /flow-next:plan-review <EPIC_ID>
- Follow the interactive prompts to select a backend and complete the review.
- If NEEDS_WORK is returned, the skill will automatically apply fixes and re-submit the review; repeat until SHIP.
