Run npx skills find followed by a relevant query, such as npx skills find react performance. The command returns matching skills with install commands and links to skills.sh for details.

Use npx skills add with the package identifier in owner/repo@skill format, for example npx skills add vercel-labs/agent-skills@vercel-react-best-practices. Add -g for global installation and -y to skip confirmation prompts.

Use specific keywords combining domain and task, like "react testing" instead of just "testing". Try alternative terms if the first search fails, such as "deployment" or "ci-cd" instead of "deploy".

If no relevant skill exists, the agent can handle the task directly with its general capabilities. For recurring needs, you can create your own skill using npx skills init followed by a skill name.

Run npx skills check to see which installed skills have updates available, then run npx skills update to update all installed skills to their latest versions.
