What problem does it solve?

Mapping product names to standardized RxNorm/OMOP concepts is time-consuming and error-prone when relying on string matching alone. This Skill consolidates semantic search results and dose form context so curators can find appropriate RxNorm concepts more efficiently and with better evidence for EXACT vs BROAD mappings.

Core Features & Use Cases

• Semantic RxNorm lookup: Queries the Hecate semantic search API to retrieve candidate RxNorm concepts for product name queries.
• Dose form awareness and deduplication: Matches and prints dose form definitions, deduplicates results, and surfaces concept_id, concept_name, and concept_code for downstream decision-making.
• Extension fallback: Optionally searches RxNorm Extension with filters and guidance to avoid supplier/packaging or otherwise dubious extension concepts. Use case: mapping EMA-authorised product entries during manual curation or batch review for Sweden and Latvia datasets.
