What problem does it solve?

This Skill guides users through installing and enrolling Elastic Agent so hosts and services reliably send logs, metrics, and security data to Elasticsearch and Fleet.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Agent Enrollment: Detect the operating system and walk through enrolling agents via Fleet UI or the elastic-agent enroll CLI.
  • Integration Setup: Add and configure common integrations such as logs, metrics, nginx, and mysql to capture relevant data streams.
  • Validation & Troubleshooting: Verify agent health in Fleet and confirm data streams and indices appear in Elasticsearch to ensure successful onboarding.
  • Use Case: Onboard a fleet of web servers to Elastic Cloud using Fleet so that logs and system metrics are collected and visible in Kibana.

Quick Start

Enroll Elastic Agent to your Fleet by providing the Elasticsearch URL and enrollment token, install the agent package for your OS or use the Docker image, and enable logs and metrics integrations.
