What problem does it solve?
This Skill automates obtaining KiCad footprints and symbols from LCSC/EasyEDA for JLCPCB PCBA projects, removing manual lookup and download overhead.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Footprint & Symbol Downloads: Retrieve both KiCad footprint (.kicad_mod) and symbol (.kicad_sym) libraries for selected LCSC parts.
- 3D Model Support: Optionally include 3D models (.step, .wrl) to visualize parts in KiCad.
- Batch & Overwrite: Supports batch downloads and overwriting existing files to keep libraries up to date.
- Project Integration: Organize outputs into standard KiCad project structure for easy integration.
Quick Start
Run easyeda2kicad --lcsc_id <ID> --footprint --symbol to download both footprint and symbol for a given part.
