What problem does it solve?

This Skill automates the time-consuming process of manually scanning and synthesizing recently created or modified Markdown notes, producing a concise, structured periodic recap that highlights core themes, results, and cross-note connections.

Core Features & Use Cases

• Natural-language time parsing: Understands ranges like "today", "last 7 days", or "October 2023" and converts them to concrete time windows.
• Scoped vault search & strict filtering: Finds only .md files under directories starting with 00–90, explicitly excluding 99_System and hidden/system folders such as .git, .obsidian, and .gemini.
• Content extraction and analysis: Reads note contents, extracts core themes and conclusions, and synthesizes a multi-section Markdown recap suitable for saving into the vault (e.g., 10_Diary).
• Use case: Generate weekly research retrospectives or monthly project summaries that reveal emerging knowledge threads and blind spots.

Quick Start

Invoke the agent with /do:recap followed by a natural-language time range such as this week to generate a periodic recap of new and modified notes.
