Written content like blog posts, articles, and social posts often needs original illustrations that explain one idea clearly, but generic image generators produce inconsistent, off-brand results with no recurring character or coherent house style. ## Core Features & Use Cases - Editorial illustration generation: Turn an article, URL, or single concept into flat, print-style scenes where a recurring mascot performs the idea, with explainer diagrams, mini-comics, and transparent character cutouts as alternate registers. - Character packs and styles: Ships with the default mascot Blot and seventeen bundled looks (riso, woodcut, pixel, clay, and more), plus a guided character builder for designing and installing custom mascot packs. - Multiple generation backends: Renders through Codex CLI, Grok CLI, Grok Bot native, or OpenRouter (pay-per-image), with palette management that can derive colors from a site's real CSS. - Use Case: Paste a draft blog post and ask for illustrations; the skill identifies the load-bearing moments, proposes a shot list, and renders a matched set of on-model images in your site's palette. ## Quick Start Say "illo: illustrate this article" with your post or concept attached, and the skill will route the request, pick a character and palette, and generate the illustration.
